ABOUT A Few Words about SLICK RICK Racing Heads
Ricky "Slick Rick" McConathy, began his career working for G&G Performance Engines where he learned all the fundamentals of automotive machining, but was always more interested in the cylinder head and intake manifold department. He stayed with G&G for 5 years porting a wide variety of cylinder heads and intake manifolds, ranging from circle track to drag racing.
Ricky took a few years off to continue his college education, and somewhere in the mix, was introduced to Jeff Naiser and Brian "Lump" Self. He was offered a part time job to try and help Lump catch up with his overwhelming work load, and that quickly transformed into a full time job. Ricky worked alongside Lump and Jeff for 3 years working on comp eliminator heads and other high end projects, until Lump left the shop to start a new shop closer to his residence. Ricky decided to stay with Jeff at NRC and the rest is history!
